The Association of Contract Research Organizations of Türkiye (SAKDER) was established on January 29, 2009.
Association of Contract Research Organizations of Türkiye (SAKDER)
Our association was established with the aim of ensuring professional solidarity of Contract Research Organizations in Turkey, and to resolve potential problems by holding meetings and negotiations with relevant parties on behalf of its members, to represent its members on relevant platforms, and to contribute to the development of services in the fields of its members’ profession in the pharmaceutical/health sector.
Thus, it will be possible to increase quality in this field, solve problems arising from drug/health research, learn and implement international practices for private and legal entities, and create and develop legal regulations and professional ethical norms related to the subject.
The primary functions of SAKDER will be to strengthen the connections between its members, ensure that members are represented by the Ministry of Health, authorized bodies and other professional organizations, and ensure that contract research organizations operating in Turkey provide services at world standards and increase Turkey’s share of drug research. In addition, information and training activities will be carried out within the scope of the association.
SAKDER was accepted as a member of the European CRO Federation (EUCROF) in 2010 and is currently on the EUCROF board of directors.
Contract research organizations that operate as contract research organizations, are established or have representatives in Turkey, and have or do not have foreign affiliates can become members of our association.
